Default mnemonic for WRITE commands to device types other than magnetic tape, terminal, or sequential file.

[IO]    Other=n
Description
When an OPEN or USE command includes no mnemonic space argument, InterSystems IRIS uses the default mnemonic for that device type. The Others setting specifies the default mnemonic for device types other than magnetic tape, terminal, or sequential file.
The value n is an InterSystems IRIS routine name. ^%X364 is the default when the device is not a magnetic tape drive, terminal, or sequential file. You can use this default, or reset it by changing the value of as needed. See the Controlling Devices with Mnemonic Spaces chapter in the I/O Device Guide.
