Toolbar Buttons for the Atelier Perspective

The following toolbar buttons are available when you are using the Atelier Perspective. They help you perform a variety of editing and navigation tasks.

Toolbar Button Command Description
New New Opens a dialog that lets you select a wizard to create a new resource. Click on the disclosure triangle to the left of the icon to select from commonly-used Atelier wizards.
Save Save Saves selected file(s).
Save All Save All Saves all files in one or more projects.
Compile Compile Clicking this button has different results depending on the context:
  • When the project node is selected, compile all files in project.
  • When the package node is selected, compile all files in package.
  • When one or more files are selected, compile selected files.
View Other Code View Other Code Opens intermediate files generated during compilation. The Compilation preference Keep generated source code (k) must be selected in order to retain the generated files. It is selected by default. See Compilation.
View Web Page View Web Page Opens a file as a web page in a browser. The file must be both selected and open in the Atelier editor. This icon is enabled only when the file content can be displayed as a web page.
Debug Debug Launch the currently selected resource or active editor in debug mode, creating a default launch configuration if necessary. Click on the disclosure triangle to see a list of recently used launch configurations. Available only for file types that can be debugged.
Run Run Launch the currently selected resource or active editor in run mode, creating a default launch configuration if necessary. Click on the disclosure triangle to see a list of recently used launch configurations. Available only for file types that can be run.
External Tools External Tools Launch the External Tools dialog box.
Interactive search Open Atelier Class/Routine Opens a dialog that lets you find classes and routines in the workspace by typing the name.
Search Search Opens the search dialog. Click the disclosure triangle to see a list of available search types. Select a type from the list to open the dialog with the tab for that type of search active.
Next annotation Next annotation Go to the next occurrence in the current file of any of the specified annotations. Click the disclosure triangle to see a list of things that can be considered an annotation. Click on an item in the list to add or remove it from the list of targets.
Previous annotation Previous annotation Go to the previous occurrence in the current file of any of the specified annotations. Click the disclosure triangle to see a list of things that can be considered an annotation. Click on an item in the list to add or remove it from the list of targets.
Last edit location Last edit location Takes you to the file, and location in the file, where you made your last edit.
Previous file Back to file Moves backward through the last ten files visited. Click on the disclosure triangle to see the list of files. Select a file from the list to navigate directly to that file.
Next file Forward to file Moves forward through the last ten files visited. Click on the disclosure triangle to see the list of files. Select a file from the list to navigate directly to that file.
