Reads input from the user terminal into a specified buffer or select list.

Arguments
| prompt | Optional — The prompt character. |
| reference | A reference to a buffer or a select list. A reference must begin with a %, !, &, or # character, followed by a number (%2), or followed by another of the four reference characters (%%). |
Description
The IP PROC command is used to read input from the user terminal into the specified buffer or select list.
