Fundamentals of CSP Programming

Part II of this tutorial focuses on fundamental CSP programming topics including object binding, the form wizard, the search page, using page directives, maintaining state, hyperevents, and page redirection. Note that a number of files accompany the exercises and examples in this part of the tutorial. Before starting this part of the tutorial, you should install these files. See the note below for instructions.

After completing this part of the tutorial, you will be able to:

  • Use page directives to set the page language.

  • Bind objects to forms and CSP pages.

  • Create Web forms that are bound to objects using the Studio Web Form Wizard.

  • Create custom search pages for searching instances of Caché classes.

  • Add queries to CSP pages.

  • Maintain user state in CSP applications.

  • Use hyperevents to invoke server-side methods from CSP pages.
