Ensemble HL7 Message Routing Production

The following diagram shows a typical flow of HL7 data through an Ensemble HL7 message routing production:

1. System A sends HL7 data to the Ensemble production.

2. Service A working together with an inbound adapter receives the HL7 data and packages it into an Ensemble message before sending it to a Message Router.

3. The Message Router receives the data and then sends it either to Operation B or Operation C depending on the structure or content of HL7 data. The Message Router may apply a data transformation to the HL7 data before sending the message.

4. Operation B or Operation C, working together with their outbound adapters, delivers the HL7 data to either System B or System C.
