Search Page

Clicking the Search button on a form generated by the Form Wizard displays a search page. The search page is generated by <csp:search> tags that the Form Wizard inserts into the CSP page. These tags cause the CSP compiler to generate a client-side JavaScript function that displays the page. The search page allows you to search the instances of the persistent class associated with the form. The default search page allows searching only by the ID property. The page displays the search results as a table of hyperlinks. Clicking on a link loads the corresponding object into the form.

Here is the default search page for Contact.CSP:

Click Search and the page displays a list of all the Contact ID values in the database.

Click 1 to open Contact.CSP with the property values for the Contact with ID value 1 loaded into the form.
