Checking for Required Elements and Attributes

By default, an InterSystems IRIS® data platform web service does not check for the existence of elements and attributes that correspond to properties that are marked as Required. To cause a web service to check for the existence of such elements and attributes, set the SOAPCHECKREQUIRED parameter of the web service to 1. The default value for this parameter is 0, for compatibility reasons.
