Java, .NET, and Other Applications

InterSystems security provides the following features for Java, .NET, and other types of applications that connect to InterSystems IRIS:

  1. Authorized access to InterSystems IRIS. You can control user access to InterSystems IRIS using the InterSystems security authorization mechanisms. With these mechanisms you can control whether or not a user can connect to InterSystems IRIS through one of the above types of applications. You can also control the types of actions that a user can perform once connected to InterSystems IRIS. For more information on authorization mechanisms, see About InterSystems Authorization.

  2. Role escalation. You can provide role escalation using privileged routine applications. The procedure is identical to that described in the preceding section of this tutorial.
