Java, .NET, and Other Applications
InterSystems security provides the following features for Java, .NET, and other types of applications that connect to InterSystems IRIS:
-
Authorized access to InterSystems IRIS. You can control user access to InterSystems IRIS using the InterSystems security authorization mechanisms. With these mechanisms you can control whether or not a user can connect to InterSystems IRIS through one of the above types of applications. You can also control the types of actions that a user can perform once connected to InterSystems IRIS. For more information on authorization mechanisms, see About InterSystems Authorization.
-
Role escalation. You can provide role escalation using privileged routine applications. The procedure is identical to that described in the preceding section of this tutorial.
