Configuring InterSystems IRIS During Deployment

InterSystems IRIS provides several ways to automatically configure InterSystems IRIS during deployment to obtain topologies such as mirrors, distributed cache clusters, and sharded clusters out of the box:

  • InterSystems Cloud Manager (ICM) automates their provisioning and deployment on multiple public and private cloud platforms.

  • The InterSystems Kubernetes Operator (IKO) is a Kubernetes custom resource for deploying them on Kubernetes platforms.

  • The configuration merge feature supports their automated deployment by other means by letting you vary the configurations of multiple InterSystems IRIS instances deployed from the same container image or installation kit on any supported UNIX® or Linux platform, including Linux cloud nodes. Configuration merge is available as a standalone feature and is also incorporated in both ICM and the IKO.
