Declare this instance’s mirror role.

[Startup] MirrorMember=[primary|backup|drasync]

During instance startup, MirrorMember specifies a nonsharded instance’s role when it joins a mirror. MirrorMember should be one of the following values:

  • primary — the primary failover member.

  • backup — the backup failover member.

  • drasync — a DR async member.

Using This Parameter

In conjunction with other parameters, MirrorMember can be used to deploy mirrored stand-alone instances and distributed cache cluster data servers using the configuration merge feature.
