Set the default mnemonic for WRITE commands to device types other than terminal or sequential file.
n is an InterSystems IRIS® data platform routine name. The default is ^%X364.
The Other setting specifies the default mnemonic for device types other than terminal or sequential file. When an OPEN or USE command includes no mnemonic space argument, InterSystems IRIS uses the default mnemonic for that device type. For more information, see the “Controlling Devices with Mnemonic Spaces” chapter.
Changing This Parameter
On the IO Settings page of the Management Portal (System Administration > Configuration > Device Settings > IO Settings), in the Other row, enter an InterSystems IRIS routine name.
Instead of using the Management Portal, you can change Other in the Config.IOOpens in a new tab class (as described in the class reference) or by editing the CPF in a text editor (as described in the Editing the Active CPF section of the “Introduction to the Configuration Parameter File” chapter in this book).
