Background Information
In InterSystems IRIS, the phrase dynamic SQL refers to SQL statements that are prepared and executed at runtime. Dynamic SQL lets you program within InterSystems IRIS in a manner similar to an ODBC or JDBC application (except that you are executing the SQL statement within the same process context as the database engine).
Available Tools
%SQL.Statement and %SQL.StatementResult classes
The preferred form of dynamic SQL. See “Using Dynamic SQL” in Using InterSystems SQL, which discusses all these classes.
Also see %SQL.CustomResultSet and other classes in this package.
