MirrorName is a string of from 1 to 15 alphanumeric characters; lowercase letters are automatically replaced with uppercase equivalents.
If the instance is being deployed as the primary member of a new mirror, MirrorSetName is the name for the new mirror; if the instance is being deployed as a backup or DR async member, MirrorSetName is the name of the mirror it is joining. During startup of an existing instance, MirrorSetName identifies the mirror the instance belongs to.
Using This Parameter
In conjunction with other parameters, MirrorPrimary can be used to deploy mirrored stand-alone instances and distributed cache cluster data servers using the configuration merge feature.
For an existing instance, this parameter would typically be changed only by removing the instance from the mirrorOpens in a new tab and possibly adding it to another one.
ArbiterURL, to identify the arbiter used by the mirror the instance is a member of.
MirrorMember, to specify the mirror role of the instance.
MirrorPrimary, to specify the host of the mirror primary, if the instance is joining as a backup or DR async.
MirrorSSLDir, to identify the location of the instance’s mirror SSL configuration.
